Meet the team

Petr Bláha

Co-Founder

PhD, SME Registered Member

Petr is a mining engineer and a geologist with a solid geostatistics and modeling expertise gathered through more than 20 years of experience in the cement industry.

Before founding apbp, Petr worked at the corporate office of LafargeHolcim, leading a team that focused on the developments and implementation of tools and procedures for optimizing the use of deposits. Petr began his career at the Technical University of Kosice (TUKE, Slovakia) where he lectured and coordinated international research projects, and was the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Mining.

Petr holds a Master of Engineering in mining and a PhD in mining and economic geology from TUKE. He is a registered member of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration (SME), and a visiting Professor at TUKE.

Arnaud Pujol

Co-Founder

MEng, SME Registered Member

Arnaud is a mining engineer with more than 15 years of experience.

Before founding apbp, Arnaud worked in the corporate office of LafargeHolcim, focusing on block modeling and quarry design. He is a Surpac and scheduling expert.

Arnaud began his career at Crystallex International, mining gold in a Venezuelan open pit, with a focus on drilling, blasting and short term planning.

During the last week of October 2018, Arnaud was blessed with first time fatherhood, moving flat, and garden leave. Too bad that he forgot to play the lottery.

Arnaud holds a Master of Engineering in mining from Imperial College (IC, UK ), and he is a registered member of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration (SME).
